Lightening

The clouds grew near to all those dear

Then lightening filled the sky

Caressing every flying tress

And every upturned eye

And when the clouds had parted way

There came a brilliant scene

Of freshness, life, and renewed hope

To spread the word so clean

Of love and joy upon the morn

Of peaceful days to come

With rainbow color cross the sky

For you and everyone

So when you see a rain cloud dark

And run for cover fast

Just stop and look and thank yourself

For seeing truth at last.
