Bridge Over Sand Creek Pathways

Plus The Song

A few days ago as Bob and I were walking Cassie in the morning, we walked down the dry sand creek that runs across the road just a little bit past our house. It had been a while since I went along with them on their morning walk. As we walked and saw alongside the creek the various trees, branches, etc that were washed down the creek during the overflowing that the creek had several weeks ago after a lot of rain, we approached a tree that was stretched across the creek ahead of us. I immediately heard in my head, “Bridge Across Troubled Waters” the song that I have watched and listened to Simon and Garfunkel sing many times over the years on the DVD concert we have.

What immediately came to me was the revised title, ‘Bridge Across Sand Creek Pathways’. That was the beginning of what I am sharing with you today. I just had to get pictures of it, so the next morning we walked there again with Cassie and our camera. Here are two pictures and the song that I changed the words to that show of our experience at the Bridge Over Sand Creek Pathways.

Sand Creek Bridge

When you're restless, feeling bored

When barks are in your talks, I'll walk with you (you)

I'm by your side, oh, if walks get rough

And friends just can't be found

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you.

When you're restless, in the yard

When barking moves you fast, I will escort you (ooo)

I'll lead your cord, oh, when sunshine beams

And dogs are all around

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you.

Sail on Cassie Girl, sail on by

Your time has come to shine, dreams are on their way (ayy)

See how they shine, If you need a friend

I'm sailing right behind

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you

To the bridge over sand creek pathways

I will walk with you.
